About Aleksander Nikolov

Aleksander "Alex" Nikolov is a junior at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. He is an avid sewist, rocketry enthusiast, salsa dancer, and environmental advocate.

Alex is passionate about the environment and wants to help humanity deal with climate change and resource scarcity through the lens of engineering.  He has always enjoyed solving engineering problems; the largest one in the history of humanity is the climate crisis.

He has managed crews for the Stuyvesant Theater Community, managing teams that have created upwards of 120 costumes in 30 days. He is compassionate and is known as the friend who changes the energy of the room when everyone is stressed over opening night and finals.

He is interested in pursuing environmental engineering or civil engineering with an environmental focus. He is excited to learn more about opportunities that relate to his interests as well as connecting with people who have similar passions.
